I need to upgrade my ram, the starting amount just isn't enough

I assume my macbook comes with 2x512 sticks

My main question is "is it worth the money for the performance 2-3-4"

I (will be) using it heavily for video editing, photoshop and cs3 work, audio manipulation, what is the best ram, i'd have thought that 3 would be enough....and obviously it is alot cheaper than buying 2 2gig sticks. I live in the UK, where the price of the RAM is slowly going down

can someone justify a choice please :)

If you are going to be doing any sort of video editing or image editing, the more ram that you can get the better off you are. I don't know of any specific figures off the top of my head, but I'm sure that a quick google search could pull you up some tests that show the differences between the different ram sizes. Whether or not the difference is good enough to justify buying them is up to you, but regardless it will be faster with increased ram
