It's not a big deal, I can learn to live with it, but my Macbook Pro (newest generation midrange MBP) seems to startup a lot slower then it used to.

When I first bought it, it was straight to business. Hit the power button, watch the apple icon with the loading wheel? underneath, instantly boot into the OS.

Now its: Hit the power button, watch the apple icon w/ wheel, sit at blue screen w/ mouse icon for 5-10 seconds.

As I said, I'm not really complaining, just asking if that's a known problem, and if it has a solution.

Thanks for any replies!

You can view your startup programs through System Profiler, and if you use Tinkertool, you can turn them off.

I have exactly the same problem as yours. I wouldn't worry too much as this is the case for most computers as time goes by. Just try not to shut it down too often and rely more on sleep, this way your computer will wake up in seconds!
