I ordered my Macbook on 29th May requesting it to have a 120GB HDD upgrade. I decided to pay via the 6 months 0% interest offer. I sent the contract back etc, and have heard nothing from them since.

I've phoned up 3 times before asking when it'll be shipped and each time they said the contract was received on the 6th June, and that MBNA had gien them to go ahead for the order, and it would be shipped between 19th and 21st June at the latest.

I phoned up today to make sure it would ship tomorrow at the latest, and the guy said they hadn't even had the go ahead from MBNA to create my order!!

Does anyone have any contact details (pref. phone number, but will email be OK) for UK Managers (can't think fo anything else to call them), or people that are "higher in the chain" than a normal sales rep. Any details would be appreciated, as needless t say, I'm a little p****d off that my order hasn't even been officially "created".

Ask for a manger when you call...they should transfer you to somebody else. Also take down the names of the people you talk t , you always ask for them.

Hi,

I ordered about 3 days before you through the same method (interest-free). They told me the same and I just kept ringing them everyday and asking to be put through to MBNA. After a lot of hassling and naggling they "speeded up" my application and the order went through. My Macbook was dispatched on the 17th and I hope to have it this week, or early next week.

My advice is ring them, ask to be put through to MBNA, ask them if they have advised Apple of the go-ahead for the order. If they say they have then tell Apple that your not happy and are considering cancelling your order. Trust me, they WILL listen then.

It worked for me :p

Well, todays the 21st and this was my "latest shipment" date, so it SHOULD ship today.
If not, I will phone up and see what they say, as I don't see how they can use the ease of changing the HD as a selling point if they add 2 weeks onto the shipping time whn you ask them to do it. Surely someone in their factory would be able to change it in a matter of minutes

Phoned them up, saying i was told it would be shipped today at the latest, but the woman said they still can't guarantee itll go out today- "if it doesn't get shipped today, then I'd expect it to within the next few days- just keep an eye out for a despatch email"- thanks for the advice!!but I've been keeping an eye out for the past 3 weeks!

When i said I may cancel, she didn't seem to concerned so i didn't bother pursuing it.
