Hi all, this may be a nonsensical question but pretty much grasping at straws here.

A 2011 Macbook Air was stolen from our house over the weekend, along with a number of other things. We are trying to pin down the moment of the burglary in the hopes that it might help narrow down time window for neighbours to check doorbell cameras and such.

I have 2 desktop Macs in the house that were not stolen, including a 2017 iMac running Ventura. Is there any chance that I could find relevant information somewhere in the system logs of the iMac that could help show when the Macbook disappeared from the wifi? Do these devices ping each other for Bonjour or similar protocols in a way that I can check a history on somewhere in system logs or network diagnostics?

Sorry your stuff got stolen. Does your WiFi router provide any details about when a device was "last seen"? My WiFi router does. Was your MacBook Air running a version of macOS that had iCloud FindMy enabled?

Thanks for the tips.

The WiFi router (one from Telenet, Belgium) unfortunately only provides details about devices currently connected. It doesn't provide connection history. I'm going to reach out to the ISP today to see if maybe they have more information on their end. Among the items stolen there were 2 laptops and a Nintendo Switch, so that's all in all 3 devices with wifi connectivity - maybe they have some type of activity log on their side?

The MacBook Air did have FindMy enabled, but it simply shows as "offline" and "No location found" in the Find My app. It's not showing a timestamp of last connection to the internet. That's why I was hoping for some type of log of local communication log between the Macs within the house, but looks like there's no such thing.
