Macbook Swiping left automatically - ideas?

Hi,

My MacBook Pro is auto-swiping to the left mid-task and I can't find a solution. Any advice would be welcome, it's driving me nuts!

I'm running Catilina 10.15.7 on a 13" 2012 MacBook Pro.

This swiping happens in any application I am working in. I don't have Google Drive installed (I have read that this has caused other users to have this issue) and I have disabled the swiping settings in system preferences.

On occasions, my trackpad button refuses to click.
