I am having a strange problem with my 2.0 core duo macbook. Sometimes when I put in a blank DVD it pops up on the screen as a cd-r and same thing when I put in a cd it thinks its a dvd. Sometimes if I just eject the disk and put it right back in this fixes the problem. Other times I have to just try the next blank dvd. Ever since i have owned this mac burning disks has been hit or miss. I had to delete toast last year because it would get so many errors(yes I was using the newest version for intel). I cannot use DVD-r's at all and am using maxell dvd+rw's and memorex cd-'s. This also happened with other brands but I have not tried the apple disks. When ever I try to rewrite onto a dvd+rw disk(add information) my mac says please insert a blank disk. Why?
