I've decided to purchase the Samsung LNT4665F 46" to use with my Macbook C2D. I just need a confirmation that I need these items:

HDMI to DVI Cable

and

Mini DVI to DVI Adapter

I'm using the S-video adapter right now with my SD TV and there is a slight back border around (the image doesn't quite fill the screen). Will I encounter this on the HDTV?

I've tried the DVI to HDMI thing with a Powerbook and all it does it show a really messed up screen. I have a Samsung LCD, and while I've found accounts of people getting it to work perfectly using crazy settings from programs that can tweak the image output, I ended up just using the VGA port on the back of the TV, because the TV is able to actually act like a real monitor, giving the computer the correct resolutions and all that. Does yours have a VGA port? Oh, and I know what you mean about the s-video border thing, when using it as a monitor it does the actual resolution (which, at least on the 720p TVs, is nothing like 1280*720).

I don't own the Samsung yet, but I don't see anything about VGA in system specs on Amazon. I'd prefer to get a TV with a DVI input, but they seem to be rare.
