Thinking of making the jump from a Macbook (late 2009) to the new Mac Mini. Will I see a dramatic speed increase? Other issues?
Thanks,
Jimbo

I went from a 2010 iMac (i3 / 8GB / 5400 RPM drive) to the mini (i7 / 8GB / Fusion) and I notice a huge speed difference. The difference in speed is amazing. But that's probably a combination of the upgraded processor and switching to SSD. Solid state drives give even that crappiest of computers an amazing speed boost. The i7 processor is also very handy to me as I run VMware Fusion. My old iMac had problems with that.

Yep - I've just gone mid 2009 MBP (Core 2 Duo, 2.26) to base Mini i5. Even with the stock 4Gb of RAM it was a world away from the MBP in terms of speed. Then I went and put 16Gb of RAM in it... :)

Honestly, you'll love it.
