I've been using my (new) Macbook on a desk lately and whenever it's plugged in the corner of the laptop gets incredibly hot. I haven't been doing anything intense and when I do the fans kick in as normal. My power brick also gets very warm as well but after a search through the forums it seems to be somewhat normal. Anyone know what I should do about my Macbook's hot corner?

Another quick question. I have an NTFS external drive. How do I format it to HFS+ or whatever Apple's format is?

Move to the Arctic Circle. You'll appreciate the warmth.

As for the drive, depending on how it's connected Disk Utility should be able to reformat it for you. :)

I would just leave it alone. I dont have a problem with it. If you are really concerned, download smcFanControl. It allows you to speed up the fan and that conor will get cooler.
