I just got my MDP - DVI adapter as recommended by this forum. There are many resolutions to choose from when I hook the Macbook to the toshiba TV. Several have black bars on the side, almost all are interlaced except a 1280*720 resolution. The TVs max resolution is 720P. However, it almost looks to me like 1280*960 interlaced looks better - then there is an xxxx*1080 interlaced option which looks decent too.

Any suggestions on which ones to avoid and which settings are theoretically preferred?

Have a look in your TV's manual for the native resolution. Most 720p screens actually have a resolution of 1360x768 or 1366x768 unless it's a plasma then it could have a resolution of 1024x768. Like I said find out the exact resolution of your TV's panel and use that.

Hi folks,

I have noticed whenever I have my wifes macbook's minidisplay port plugged (ie it is near the TV) the wireless throughput goes to crap although the signal strength is still max.

any ideas?
