Hi:
I'm setting off shortly on a 2 month trip to Hong Kong, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam and Laos.
I have never traveled with a Macbook, so I could use some advice on what to take.
Recommend a backpacker's travel kit, if you please. I have a protective shell, big ziplocs and sleeve, but I'm wondering what kind of cords, adapters, surge protec., etc. Should I take copies of my install discs? and so on

Oh, I'll be using it in mid to low budget accommodation, dry-season. I'm using it for a course in Thailand, and for photographic purposes afterward.

I went to Cambodia once and brought along my MBP together with my photo gears. I used my MBP for backup storage of all my photos at the end of each day. Nothing special to bring, just bring along one of those multi-socket adapter which you could probably buy from the airport. Oh, in S.E.A. as far as I know most if not all countries are using 220volts. And dont forget, most of all enjoy. Take lots of photos.
