MacBook turns off before booting up

I was watching a movie on my computer, and my macbook froze up. I held down the power button and turned it off. Then, turned it back on and it was stuck on the Apple logo and spinner. Fans were getting loud, nothing was happening after about 3 minutes so I turned it off.

Now, every time that I boot up, it has a gray screen for about 2 seconds, the apple logo shows up for another two, then, as soon as that little gray spinner shows up the computer turns off.

I have reset the power management, reset the pram, tried with out the battery, tried with only the battery, and am still **** out of luck.

Anybody know what I should do before I take the computer and throw it at a geniuses face at the apple store? I have a god damn paper to write.

wont boot from a cd either and now i cant get it out caue it wont recognize keyboard inputs that early

Not really sure how, but I fixed it. Here is what I did.

Connected a firewire iPod Mini to my macbook and booted while holding down T.

This allowed me to eject the CD I had put in there. I guess it was scratched and that was why it wouldnt boot off of it. Put in a cleaner version of Tiger.

- Turned on computer and held down C.

- Installer comes up, I load disk utility.

- Run a verification on my Hard Disk and was immediately met with an error.

- "Invalid sibling link" Hard disk needs repair. Disk utility refuses to help me.

- Quit disk utility and launch terminal.

- My hard drive is not listed there. This is strange, but, from digging online, I find out that my drive is located at /dev/disk0s2

- Run the command umount/dev/disk0s2

- Run command fsck_hfs -r /dev/disk0s2

- The hard drive repair fails.

- I quit terminal, go into disk utility, and this time, through the GUI, the repair finishes successfully.

- I go back into terminal and run the repair line again, fsck_hfs -r /dev/disk0s2

- Quit terminal, eject CD, and quit installer.

- Computer now boots. Refusing to turn it off until I get my external hard drive later today.
