Macbook VGA to Toshiba 32" LCD

Hi

I can't seem to get 16/9 videoto play on my Toshiba when I use the mini-dvi to VGA adapter.

Whether I mirror or not I can only get a square display on the Toshiba 16/9 LCD.

Am I missing something? I figured because my macbook core duo 1.83 was widesreen that I would be able to display widescreen on the Toshiba...any thoughts...

(1) Span. Don't mirror.

(2) What is your resolution set to, when you span, on the external screen?

(3) Have you tried SwitchResX to set the external screen to native res (probably wants 1366x768 or 1360x768 or something similar)

I have downloaded the software, it seems to work, I just haven't had a chance to dig into the software and figure it out. The native res of the external LCD is 1280x720 so it shouldn't be too hard to figure out.
