i am currently saving up to buy a macbook but i have concern over the graphics of the machine and I'm wondering if an imac would be better thanks for the help

Yes, do you nede portabiliy, also what do you use a computer for?

Things like mail, pages, work, keynote, safari, iphoto, imovie etc do not need dedicated graphics ram. If you do gaming, aperture, 3d work etc than the imac would probably be preferable.

You will find, as I did, that you need both.

Just be sure to get your iMac sized at 2'.

haha need? why not a macpro and a mbp?

since most people cant afford 2 new computers at once, id get an imac if you dont need portability or a macbook if you do. the macbook can play games but yea not all of them.

i personally think the macbook is adequate for me as i dont game therefore making it just as effective as an imac in pretty much all cases i come across

if you can afford i recommend a macbook pro over macbook for gaming.
Macbooks have integrated intel graphics (not too good) where the macbook pros have ATI Radeon video cards to what i remember
