Well I happened to stop in the Apple store in Novi Micgigan today and checked out the macbooks and macbook pros they had in the store. I kept seeing a lot of posts saying the macbook got really hot, but not so much of this about the macbook pro. EVERY macbook I touched, which was every one in the store was COOOOOOOL. Not hot at all, like it was not even on. The macbook pros on the other hand were ON FIRE! HOT, not just a little hot but I mean hot. the keyboard itself was even pretty hot. I did notice that the hottest part on the pro's was where the speakers are. Maybe the macbook problem has been corrected? At least the ones on display at that store were!

Yep, my gf's MB is way cooler than my MBP.

Mine is a 15" 2.16 and I don't feel it running THAT hot.

It's difficult to compare the two machines' temps since one is of a metallic enclosure while the other is plastic. Not to mention the GPU is quite different. But most mbps that has the new mobos are much cooler, though prolly not as cool as some Mbs.

I would imagine that the mbp's that were in the store on display were older ones..probably why they were so much hotter..
