I use a white, CD Macbook, and when I first got it (5 months ago), I thought the screen was the brightest LCD I've ever used on a laptop - very happy with it.

But recently I was using it against some macbook pro's (15 inch, both glossy and matte) and the MBP screens seem so much brighter. My MB screen looks relatively dim now.

Is it just that the MBP has more brightness than the MB, and I've just acclimated to the brightness in the MB? Or could it be that my MB screen is not as bright as it once was?

Is there some qualitative way to test how bright my screen is vs. should be?

Thanks!
