Wow, i was just thinking and realized that there isn't much difference in specs for the current MB & MBP (minus an output or 2 and screen size) and the price of a MB is half or more cheaper than a MBP...

the next release of MBP should have more than a speed bump to remain Pro.

both actually... it's totally changed my thinking about the differences between the 2, but i'm still going to get a MBP... it's just that the MB is very competitive and only half the price.. i mean, before when it was iBooks vs PowerBooks there was a huge difference between the 2

well its not just

that. but also casing, keyboard, software and ram that you get in the MBP thats the main difference now. i think going forward the MBP will evolve into a gaming and media center notebook. Sooner than we think.

What would you suggest?

i wouldn't know where to begin... the current MBP is already jazzed up to the max... i mean, besides performance upgrades/speeds... there's very little Apple can add onto the MBP...

i'd love it if they made it piano (glossy) black... that would ROCK:D
and a higher resolution output would be nice also

The Aluminium casing alone is enough to command a higher price point than the eqivalent MacBook.
