I have a new SR Black Macbook and a Lacie Brick external HD. I was using this HD with my old ibook and had no problems. Recently, with the new macbook, there are times when i am using itunes (I keep all music on my external), and an error message will pop up saying my device was not removed properly. This occurs when both macbook and external hd are stationary so there is no way i could be doing this. Has anyone experienced this or anyone have any advice? Thanks

Might be the cable.

Ill try another cable, but its not the easiest problem to duplicate, so ill just keep an eye out. In the meantime, anyone else have any possible explanation?

it is not USB Powered. Its a 500GB harddrive, about 80% full of music and thats about it. No problem with the power source
