I'm looking for a laptop with a built in webcam. I want to use it mainly for video blogging. I'm told the macbook is the way to go.

What's the webcam quality like? Is it as good as the regular iSight?

Well no, the CMOS sensor in the MB isn't as good as the iSight's CCD sensor, but it's still very good, and in proper light, hardly anyone will be able to tell the difference.:)

Apple says it is of the same quality.

The resolution is 640x480 and had decent optics for most "webcam" needs. Most reviews state that the quality is better than most standalone webcams.

It seems to be as good as the regular iSight. It's certainly superior to other laptops with built-in cameras. For example, my girlfriend just got a Sony Vaio, and the camera on that thing is atrocious. The colors on the Vaio's camera are so washed out that it practically looks like a black and white camera.

I find it quite appealing. The features available in Photo Booth are pretty exciting, though I wish you could blend options from panels 1 and 2 to create distorted colored pencil, for example.
