I just found this forum. I bought some Defekt MacBooks from 2008, in fact 3.
I have one white early 2008 MacBook that just works fine but the backlight is dead. I had It pulled apart, cleaned everything and reconnected the cables. But still the backlight is dead. I have one black I guess it was a early 2007 MacBook that has likely a dead logic board.
The question I have, can I just swap the inverter from the other to the other MacBook? I have some hope that it is just a faulty inverter, or maybe the cable.
