First time posting in any forum ever. Excuse me if I'm posting in the wrong area.
Here is where I am at....
Early 2008 Macbook running on snow was working fine before it sat in a garage for a couple years. The battery expanded so I replaced that. Would not turn on. Beeped 3 times 5 second pause means replace ram. I then upgraded to 6 from owc. Computer turned on and worked as is just how I left it. I dont know if safari was working fine because I needed to connect my internet and I couldn't make any changes to the computer because I forgot the pw I set years ago. Found my old install disk. Unfortunately I thought it was my SNOW LEOPARD... it was just LEOPARD. SO I installed leopard. After that, the websites would not open because of the security encryption... not one website secure and only showing text on Google and Apple. Every single site was not allowing me in because of no encryption. After I figured out that I installed leopard, I installed snow leopard. After the install and a update and restart, if I can get on a website, nothing loads and still nothing is encrypted. A little text in some sites. I'm at a wall now. I can not download anything from the app store to try a different browser for some reason...Thank you for your help.
