Hello everyone,

At the moment I'm using a RMB 15" with an Apple Thunderbolt Display and I'm thinking about buying a Macbook. As the Macbook have just 1 USB-C port, is it possible to use it with the ATD and charge it at the same time?

Thank you =)

Needs a Thunderbolt port unfortunately which the rMB lacks.

I'd really like to see Apple come out with a standalone USB-C display along with their 'Pro' display ostensibly coming with the modular Mac Pro, but I'm not that hopeful.

Not whilst it requires a separate TB3 controller, or I would presume that Apple would have done it already.

Intel have said they will build the controller into future CPUs (source), but I wouldn't expect that for a couple more years.

Thank you for the answer! :)
