I currently have a midrange SR Macbook (2.2ghz, 1GB, 120GB, X3100), and I was wondering if it was worth investing for a mini-DVI connector to power my 1920x1200 LCD that's currently hooked up to my desktop. For those who know, how well do the current generation of Macbooks hold up at resolutions like this? I would imagine Leopard effects would be pretty sluggish with poorly optimized X3100 drivers, but should I go for it? Has anyone else tried powering an HD external display through the mini-DVI port? What are your impressions? Thanks =]
