Macbook wont import cds

Well it will, almost.

I have tried about 3-4 cds and always halfway it just sits there and says its importing but wont do anything. So I have to force quit itunes and try again. After about an hour I think its done.

So what does everyone think? Media drive bad or is it itunes? I still want to try to burn a cd and see what it does. This is also a new Macbook ver.1

Try reinstalling iTunes.
Try resetting disk utility.

Good question. Can you drag files off the CD from Finder onto the Desktop okay? If you can, then you know it's not something wrong with the drive.

problem fixed.

I returned it to CompUSA and the new one works fine.
