macbook works with lid shut ext display?

I don't know about the MacBook, but with the iBook you weren't supposed to be able to do this. However, there was a "hack" to enable it. I don't remember exactly what you had to do, but I'm sure if you google it you can find out.

Yes, you can operate a MacBook in lid-closed ("clamshell") mode as long as you have an external display, keyboard, and mouse connected to it.
