im planning on getting a macbook after leopard is realsed and i was wondering it the macbook had a backlit keyboard

its doubtful as that's one of the features of apples high end laptops the macbook pro.

I'd say it will only be on the pro machines. It always seemed to be that way as powerbooks only had this feature and now Macbook Pro's.

he is right, the backlit keyboard is only for the pros, the MB is a consumer laptop.

One reason the MBP is quite expensive is the amazing technology it packs in.

Light sensors automatically adjust the brightness of your display for best visibility and lowers it when it is dark to prevent eye damage. The backlit keyboard automatically comes on when it is dark too, brilliant feature. Not to mention the motion sensing technology.
