So, if i bought a macbook would i be able to run wow on high settings?

Well on my GMA950 I could run on mediumish with a very good framerate at 1280x800, and that's with 1GB of ram.

The X3100 can probably run at high then, yeah. Especially if you bump up your ram to 2GB, hell might run great at high settings with 4GB even. Would like to hear how it runs with 4GB of ram.

I'm sooooo burned out from WoW though.

well in Q2 2008 im gonna be wanting to play Warhammer im just wondering if it will be able to run that after they optimise the game and throw out the min specs.

the closest thing to the graphics i would say would be Lotro would i be able to run that on medium?

WoW is dependent mostly on CPU so a 2.2ghz C2D should run it well...once you've gotten up to the 2GB level I doubt any extra RAM would make a difference.

wow is definitely playable on medium-ish settings, as stated previously. It's not smooth all the time though. I routinely get 10-30fps, with an average of ~20. I have a 2GHz with 1GB Ram and the GMA950. I have a 2GB stick being delivered today though, so I will let you know if that makes much of a difference.

From what I understand, you can get ~10fps more in windows than in OSX, possibly due Windows being able to allot about 3-4x as much memory to the GMA950. The new MB video is much more capable than the GMA950 too (which is still not saying a whole lot), but it should perform even better. just something to think about.

hopefully everything I said makes sense, I've been up a while :)
