MacbookPro 2011 Charging issue.Need Help!!

History:
I burned a chip on the Logic-board, whilst cleaning the fans, I didn't know what chip it was, but I closed it up, and remarkably, it restarted & and to my surprise, continued working, until I saw that the battery was not recharging whilst the machine was plugged in with it's adapter!

Former advice given:
Based on my experience, if the MacBook is powered up normally, but not taking charge from power outlet, which mean the charging board is defect and need to be replaced. There are two circuit boards inside MacBook, one is the main I/O board where the CPU, memory, graphic card are seated. Another is the power board which manage the battery inside the Macbook, this is the board you need to replace. Without replace the power board, you will have the same result using the HyperJuice external battery. The Macbook won't get charge at all.

I had a same experience on my old MacBook, and end up I found a replacement power board from eBay. The power board is a small piece that attached to the Magsafe power port. It has the part number listed on the power board, please find the exact part number from eBay and it should address the problem.

My Q:
1. Does this makes any sense? seeing that the chip witch was burned, nowhere near that power board
connection is to be found.
2.Why is the chip even necessary if you can easily replace it with that suggested connection?

Need help please asap!

I was dusting the inside,the '' Fans '' and boy, my little MAG light,
burned a little part of the Chip, a plume of smoke, came from it,
resulting a near heart failure from my side, and first thing that came to
mind was, to give it a hard well directed spit, ... witch did the trick!
Waited for it to settle (dry up), closed it up, boot up, chime,
logo, password, and everything back to normal, apart from
getting juice from the battery .... What were you're thoughts on the
former advice given (changing the power board, would that be a possibility?)

Take it to a brick-n-mortar Apple store, have them test it with another charger.

I happen to have same laptop. I also regularly dust the fans....however I remove them by unscrewing them and then using a manual blower, I get rid of dust in it.

I also use an anti static band when I open the machine.

I had a charging issue off late and the charger was the culprit, upon replacing the MagSafe it's charging just fine.
