Not all of the time but frequently the battery won't charge above the high 80's. I generally use plugged in at my desk so this isn't crritical unless it is a harbinger of total battery or power system failure.

Venture 13.4.1

I did an SMC reset.
System report:
Full Charge Capacity 5528 mAh
Cycle count 228

Any ideas?
TIA

Thanks. My concern is that two weeks ago this didn't happen and now, all of a sudden, it does. When plugged in it would always show 100% whereas now, with the top closed for 2 hours, it reads 89%.
It's doing your battery a favor. If you turn off optimized charging, it'll hold the battery at a lower level some of the time when the computer thinks you don't need a full charge. It's not ideal to keep a battery at full charge so this should make it last longer.

I have optimised Chatham turned on but my battery always charges to 100%. How do I get it to go to 80%?
