Hi

I've been looking around for the cheapest price on a base model macbook pro 15". Through Froogle.co.uk I came across a store called BNS which sold had the macbook pro for £994.49 + £55.54 delivery totalling £1050.04 which is significantly cheaper than even the HE discount (£1189).

Heres the link: http://bnsservices.com/shop/apple-macbook-intel-core-notebook-p-72.html?currency=GBP

I tried to find out as much as possible, it seems the products are shipped form the US, on their page they say that don't usually have to pay customs/ VAT. But if you do get charged its not their responsibility.

What do you guys think?, I've searched for BNS online shop in the forums and came up with nothing. So i really could do with some advice, should I risk it or buy off the apple store with HE discount? (im still a student).

Thanks in advance for any help you guys can offer me.

As is often quoted on here - "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is."

Personally, I wouldn't buy anything from a website that doesn't have any contact details listed.

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

There are absolutely no details on the page of where they are based, no phone numbers, no physical addresses and no email address.

Buy it with your HE discount and get your free 3 year warranty on it - and know that you're definitely going to get your Mac!

Good advice, but the worrying thing is that no-one at Apple seems to know anything about the 3 year HE warranty (aka "AppleCare Lite").

You don't get any documentation on it with your purchase, and there's only a very brief clause in the HE terms and conditions that mentions it.

There doesn't seem to be any way to prove you're entitled to it, as Apple have no record if you call up for warranty claims, and try and flog you full AppleCare. I'm concerned that this will be a real problem after the normal 1 year warranty expires.
