Just got around to updating and am now finding I'm having a MASSIVE issue with screen tearing, particularly when using Safari.

I don't have an external display attached (which seems to be the issue for many) and I have the screen set to default and ProMotion. I'm currently running in Safe Mode and that's not made a difference. I've not noticed it in any other apps I regularly use (Mail, Pages, Notes, GarageBand, Photos, Preview and Voice Memos), Safari is the sole offender.

I do have my iPad (which is running 17.3.1) 'hooked up' via Universal Control/Handoff, but turning that off hasn't helped, either.

I use Reddit a lot and that's practically unusable now (more so than usual). It's literally every single website I use.

ETA: Tried changing from the default 1600nits to 800, hasn't helped (and the screen flickers slightly on 800 - not badly, but it's noticeable).

Do you still have this issue? I don't know when it started for me but my external display starts tearing and it shows up in apps when i drag them around the screen, scroll, or is very obvious when I play video.

I can make it go away by alternating screen refresh rates, but it comes back half an hour or so later.
