Macbookpro to Home Theater

Hello all,

I have the following reciever Denon AVR-1706. Is it at all possible to hook up my macbookpro so i can have the same theater sound as i do when I watch a DVD or TV??

Defenately. Get a mini toslink to regular toslink adapter

then hook up the other end of a regular optical cable to the optical in in the back... that should give you true 5.1 (the best DVDs can do) through your system.
