Well, I thought I'd join the forums as I'll be getting a new SR Macbook soon.... (COME ON APPLE!)

I've checked around and couldn't find any info about whether Macbooks can read (write isn't too important) DVD-RAMs.

I don't mean RAM random access memory or DVD-ROMs like the Apple guy just tried to tell me. I mean RAM!

Wikipedia says OS X supports DVD-RAM, but what about the drive? (I'll be getting the Double-layer SuperDrive)

Cheers
:)

Provided they're not the old cartridge-type DVD-RAMs then yes, your macbook should read them just fine.

If they _are_ the cartridge-type, then all you have to do is take 'em out of the cartridge, of course ;-)
