I've noticed in the "post your desktop thread" that some people have under Macintosh HD on the desktop a space used/free indicator!!!

Anyone know how to do this?

Wow that is cool! I've been using OS X for 2 years now and had no idea that it could do that! Learn something new every day huh?

It doesn't work very well at all. It only seems to update when you log in or relaunch the Finder. It's nearly useless because of how infrequently it updates.

Nah... it's not useless, and it gives you an ide of how much space that was available. And it also gives you other, more useful, information like image sizes and number of items in folders. :)

Haha. cool I tried it. Although its networked drives on the desktop come up as false info. lol.
(I am on a G3 powerbook right now)
The G5 HDD is seen as 233GB with 37GB free... When really the 37 is what's used... I think. Or it's completely screwed up
lol
