I just ordered a 2.8ghz MBP from Mac Mall and it came out to:
Grand Total: $2,872.03.
(That's almost exactly what it would be with Apple's student discount + tax. It would come to over $3,000 without the student discount.
And it's with Fedex next day air. (Now i'm not assuming they'll have it in stock that soon, but it will hopefully assure that it will get here faster). I've read some interesting forum posts about MacMall and have a friend who has purchased from them. They get mixed reviews. I chose MacMall because I liked their financing options.
I figured some of you that aren't in school and are looking for a good deal might find this information useful.
Note: Beware, the MacMall return policy states that there are no Apple returns, period. (Unless of course they are defective). And yes, all Apple Macbooks come with the 1 year Apple Care attached.
