Hello guys,

I upgraded my 2011 baseline MacMini (which runs as a media center) with a 2nd HDD (a Western Digital GreenEco-ish Line I believe) and the 2 HDDs are running in a RAID 0 configuration.

Ever since I configured my MacMini like this, the MacMini freezes about every 30-35 seconds while watching EyeTV. This behaviour happens constantly and I am positive that it is not software related. For example: while copying a large file to the MacMini (which means HDDs are running constantly) the problem is gone. Only when EyeTV is running and nothing else is writing to the HDDs, is that I experience this issue. To make things funnier, this only happens wo EyeTV app. While running Plex and watching a movie the problem is not there.

My best guess is that the EyeTV program somehow is not writing often to HDD therefore causing the drives to go to sleep. Any idea how to turn this off or maybe change the HDD's behaviour?

Thanks in advance.
