Hi everyone,

I have a 2005 MacMini which I haven't used since I got my MacBook in 2007.

I have just tried to turn it on though and found that It's not booting. It's making all the right sounds but the screen doesn't come on and it's not responding to the keyboard. I have tried holding down space and I have tried holding down Command-Option-O-F but that doesn't work either.

Thanks for your help.

Thom

Thanks Hellhammer.

I'm thinking my problem is more serious than what you have detialed. I am getting no video output at all.

What I am wondering is if my DVI to VGA adaptor is broken. If that's the case then the MacMini could be working fine but I wouldn't know.

What makes me think otherwise is that If I press the eject key it doesn't eject the CD so that sounds like a failed boot.

Thanks

Thom

Hmmm.. Sounds like your logic board is toasted :( There's nothing you can do to fix it really because new logic would cost the same as brand new Mac Mini.
