Since I was having my Mini have a new HD "transplant" (the old one died) I also got them to add an extra 1 GB memory. What should I expect with that increase in memory (now 2 GB)? The reason I ask...today it sure seems that my Mini is/has been a little "sluggish" - even now as I write this there is a hesitation as I type the words. I checked my Internet speed and that seems to be OK> I mean, I was expecting the new memory to cause me to have to get a seat-belt added to my chair. :D It seems odd that this is happening now.

AlsoSo...what would be a "cheap" (remember I am a cheap Presbyterian)external backup to get for my Mini AND for my wife's MacBook (which I do not have a Mozy account for)? Please be gentle on the price

I recently upgraded my iMac from 1gb to 4gb ram (2x2gb dual channeled). The speed of startup is not noticeably faster at all for me, however apps open in 1-2 bounces for the most part now (compared to 5-6 with 1gb ram, I don't see why people say even the low-end imac can handle everything with the memory it has in it just fine, because it really can't..at all). No lagging, and I can even run OS X and windows simultaneously with NO slowdowns on either side at all, in VMWare Fusion. I can have tons of apps open at once with no lagging or sluggishness.
