macmini w/o HD

Hello,

I was just given a Mac-mini early 2009 without a HD. I will be purchasing a new SSD and how am I able to do a fresh install of EL Capitan? I was thinking the best way is to download a copy from my MBP and make a boot USB to install it on the mac mini. Will this work ?

Don't see any reason why it wouldn't work.

Yes, bootable ssd works just fine. Just google the directions.
