MacMini with Samsung 24 inch monitor ?

I asked that because i know that Apple harware are a bit different.
And i think this monitor was "designed" for PC's.
 
Check out that the monitor you buy has control buttons and an OSD. Avoid monitors than can only be controlled by some Windows software.

This is one of the problems with Apple monitors. They can only be controlled with Mac software.

On-Screen display means that this control panel is provided by the monitor, not a computer. Nothing needs to be attached to it besides power. This panel is controlled by physical buttons on the monitor.

Google for reviews of what you are interested in buying, to find out how it works.

Yes, there are physical buttons on the monitor.
I already have this monitor.There is a lot of options,in MENU:
Picture, Color, Size&Position, Setup and Reset ,Information...
So, how can i find out if it's okay ??:D
 
The new Mac mini has:
- mini DisplayPort
- HDMI

- To connect to normal DisplayPort, you just need a miniDisplayPort to DisplayPort cable.
- To connect to single-link DVI, you just need an HDMI to DVI cable. If your monitor has a DVI-I connector, any DVI fits. If the monitor has a DVI-D connector, only DVI-D fits. If a monitor has only a DVI-A connector (weird), this is only for analog signals (VGA).
- To connect to dual-link DVI, you need a miniDP to dual-link DVI adapter
- To connect to VGA, you need a miniDP to VGA adapter.
- To connect to analog DVI (DVI-A), you need a miniDP to VGA adapter + a cheap VGA to DVI adapter.

- You can fit a DVI-D male into a DVI-I or DVI-D female.
- You can fit a DVI-A male into a DVI-I or DVI-A female.
- You can only fit a DVI-I male into a DVI-I female.
- A DVI dual male does not fit in a DVI single female.

DVI-I is DVI-A + DVI-D (single)

Keep in mind the 2010 mini's come with an HDMI to DVI Adapter.:D
 
My mini works great with regular non-apple monitor. monitor has hdmi port, and the mini seems very responsive even at 1920 * 1200.

I don't think I can drive any 3d games with full detail and full resolution, but for desktop computing, it seems great.

I have my 2009 running an HP ZR30w 2560x1600 just fine. I use my 2010 connected to an HDTV (even for typing this in exploded view from 12 feet away) and it is clear as a bell on a 60".

are you using the dvi-d adapter or a different input on the 30"?

I got a dual-link DVI-D with the monitor, but did not know when I ordered it that it came with all needed cables.

So, before receiving the ZR30w, I had ordered a 6 foot Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort cable for $15.00 from KanexLive. It works great.

I have a mid 2009 mini on a Samsung 2433BW. Works great with the DVI adapter! Don't know what the slight rev on the model number changes with what you are buying, likely nothing.

I tried using the new HDMI input on my Samsung P2570HD (pretty sure that is the model). I could not get it to look right. Finally gave up and used the PC IN Port and now it sees it as SyncMaster and looks great. Would have been nice if HDMI worked as well.

If you ever try the HDMI again take a look at adjusting display under system preferences. That over/under scan slider did the trick for me.
