Hi everyone.

After upgrading to 12.4 my eGPU started to randomly disconnect. It is not related to demanding tasks - I can run Blender render for several hours and nothing happens, then I switch between desktops browsing web, and it crashes. If I reconnect after crash, another crash comes soon. Restarting MacBook seems to delay crashing.

Tried different TB3 cables and it is not the problem. When I have more time I will try to debug some more, maybe install windows and try bootcamp or install GPU to stationary PC to check if it's a hardware issue.
But I was wondering if anyone using eGPU have similar problems in 12.4? 12.3.1 was perfectly fine for me. 12.3 was a disaster.

MacBook Pro 16 2019, i7 32GB, 5500m 8gb, Razer Core X, XFX Merc 6900XT

Does anybody else have has issue after 12.4 upgrade (even in 12.5 beta) that your eGPU (mine is Vega 56) is not loading (or missing) driver in PCI section of the system report? I have tried it on two macs. It worked flawlessly in 12.3.1. But after 12.4 upgrade. The driver for my gpu-controller is not installed according to System Information.

Here is System Profile screen (its in Czech). I captioned relevant info.

I made it work by turning FileVault on and off. Now it does work as intended. Hope it helps others. Thanks for replies guys.
