My iMac 5k i7 (2017) with macOS 12 beta 5 takes a very long time when starting the system.
The system is booted from an external Thunderbolt 3 SSD.
Thought it will be better when new betas come but that is not the case.
When I start in Vebose mode, the Mac hangs in two places for quite a long time.

That's where it gets stuck the first time.

and here the second time.

I asked Doctor Google for advice after these error messages, but he had no idea either.
Does macOS 12 also start so slowly for you?

Its called beta for a reason, anyway here's my quick reference comparison with 2015 MBP vs 2012 MBP OCLP booted from internal ssd, from power on to desktop.

For me with beta 5 it looks like this.
Maybe it will be better with the next betas or I get it out what the my error messages in the first post mean.

IDK, less than a minute to boot...not slow by any standard.
You've observed the issues, it why Apple developers are thankful for users such as yourself for taking the time to send in the feedback with the screenshots....they really do read the submitted bugs via the feedback app and they do provide fixes.
