Reported on FB13196444, all you guys should know, 14.0 may not be stable as you thought.
(It's fine to me, I'm a developer and willing to try new things. If Apple guys see this, please check and help fix it.)

+ Image: WindowServer crashes on 14.0 Stable, please do not upgrade.

I have tried the lastest RC Sonoma only on an Acasis SSD enclosure connected to my Mac Studio. The Mac needs more than 3 minutes to boot from the external SSD. And occasionally there are spinning beachballs while opening an application. For me, the stability is insufficient. I keep Ventura on my internal drive.

what percentage of macusers actually run their macs from an external drive? anyway, ar least you're aware of why you're having issues.

stability for most of us (at least, based on this forum), has been pretty good thru the early betas, and currently on the RCs...

I never take the risk to install beta versions on an internal drive. ;)
And the issues on the external drive don't happen with Monterey or Ventura, only with Sonoma.

yes, got it. for you personally, sonoma is running sluggish on your external drive.

i always take the risk and install beta versions on my internal drives (2 macs), and sonoma has been, hands down, the best mac OS beta experience i've yet had. but ultimately, we only speak for ourselves, not everyone 👍
