When there is a new macOS release, please be sure to let us know about the issue's status by moving it to either "Remaining Issues" or "Resolved Issues"
  • macOS 14 Sonoma will be installed via a Delta Update in System Settings. Please be aware about this and the update won’t install with an installer.

The problem I had with the widget editor (adding widgets to the desktop) seems to have been fixed, at least in my early tests

For Sonoma 14.2 beta 3 (Intel):

System Firmware is now 2020.60.10.501.1 (was 2020.60.9.0.0 in Beta 2)

iBridge is now 21.16.2047.5.4,0 (was 21.16.2030.5.3,0 Beta 2)

OS Loader is now 580-946 (was 580-840 in Beta 2)

The issue I had with some live action video on YouTube and other http streaming sites appears to have been fixed, though that's on a machine with a faster Intel GPU. Need to test on the 2020 Intel GPU which was giving me hiccups, which is weird since it's a newer GPU but slower?!

curious if anyone else has had the issue I've been having with 14.2 beta 3 with TextExpander 5 (the last pre-subscription version): whenever I use a snippet longer than a couple characters long, it only erases the last two characters of the snippet trigger, and doesn't fill in what it's supposed to

Looks like Safari now supports YouTube 8K playback on a 2020 Intel 13-inch MBP with integrated graphics only with Sonoma 14.2 beta 3.

Weird though, on a 2018 13-inch MBP with the same beta, can only get 4K..

The bug I had with activity monitor crashing is gone with 14.2B3 on my 15,2 i7/16/1TB. Photo library appearing in the trash has also stopped although I am not sure that was a Sonoma bug

I still have the bug with the Notification Center and Edit Widget. Can't find any workaround, can't see my notifications, neither can I edit my Widgets, it's annoying.

Plus the screen sharing on FaceTime is broken. It displays black as a background, app previews, etc.

14.2 Beta (23C5047e) here, widgets flicker on and off for about 30 seconds and then all disappear completely.

Right click on desktop and Edit Widgets.... nothing happens.

Has anyone encountered this bug yet?

I think, that only occurs on the google search page, on safari.
The font switches to to another font on hover, and even if not hovered it has some weird pixelization.
I have already tried deleting cookies and disabling all extension- but didn't helped.
It only seems to happen if it concerns a Google result that is displayed first with subtitles.

Does not happen on my M1 MBA running Version 14.2 Beta 3 (23C5047e) with Safari 17.2

Does anyone else find their Mac Silicon machine benching significantly slower on Version 14.2 Beta 3 (23C5047e) than on 14.1?

My M1 MBA 8C/7C w 16GB RAM results in GeekBench 6.2.1:

OS..............single-thread.......multi-thread.........Metal

14.1...............2388.................8745...............30592
14.2 B3...........2319................7579...............31925
