macos high sierra on usb drive does not show up in mac options on startup?

I have a macbook air 2010 and it came with high sierra installed. I installed zorin os 16 and i erased all the mac ness from my laptop. no disk utilities no safari or reinstall options. what must i do to do a fresh install of high sierra again? im running linux mint cinnamon currently on it and while it is nice i want a macos again.

You have another Mac?, If not, try Internet recovery (start your Mac holding CMD + R), it will let you install the os that your Mac comes from. From there upgrade to your favorite macOs.
