I have a 256GB iPhone 12 running iOS 14.8 connected via cable to my 2020 Intel MacBook Pro running macOS Big Sur 11.6 with more than 660GB of free space on the SSD. The iPhone itself only has about 1GB free and is nearly full.
I am trying to back up the iPhone locally as I always do and after a few minutes of processing, the Finder says "Could not back up the iPhone '[iPhone Name]' because not enough free space is available on this Mac. Removing files and emptying the Trash will free up additional space." As I mentioned, though, there is more than enough space for two full backups of the phone. Any ideas what I can do to get the backup to work? Thank you!
