Hi,
I got a problem with an external display that loses the signal after the Mac Mini have been on for 1-2 minutes.

The same issue happens also when I put the mac to sleep and then wake it up, 1-2min goes by and the display loses the signal.

Only thing that works after the display have lost the signal is that I have to turn the display totally off and then turn it back on again. And now the display stays on.

My setup:
Mac Mini (M1, 2020) with macOS Monterey version 12.1.
Samsung LU28R55 display that is connected with a 'USB-C - DisplayPort'-cable to the Mac Mini.

I have turned off all timers that would turn off the display after a certain time in the settings menu of the display.

Here are my Energy Saver settings in macOS:

Any ideas what I could try to fix this annoying problem?

Best regards,
Magnus

I went at bought this cable and now the mac does not lose the signal to the display.
Fuj:tech HDMI 2.1 8K Ultra High Speed cable:

But I'm still wondering that does my Mac mini have a faulty USB 4/USB-C/Thunderbolt port. 🤔
I have an USB-C hub and that one is working fine.
So is the problem with these 'USB-C - DisplayPort'-cables?
Or is the USB 4/USB-C/Thunderbolt port not good to use for display?

Or it depends of settings of your Samsung 4k display? Did you set it rightly in System Preferences > Monitors?
It seems your Mac Mini asks the monitor to support a different resolution or frequency
