MacOS notifications silenced when playing WoW in full screen

I don't t get any notifications when playing World of Warcraft in fullscreen anymore since I upgraded to Big Sur, no mail notifications, no messages notifications or anything. Is there a setting somewhere for this?

I have this same issue, and the only way I've found to resolve it is to NOT play full screen. It's stupid. When in full screen on my mac, notifications are even silenced on my iPhone 11 Pro TOO which is sitting next to my mac. It's a ridiculous feature. I have checked Do Not Disturb, and it is OFF. I would really like to understand why this happens. It happens in other games when full screen too.
