Simple dumb question...

Would OS X Snow Leopard now correctly be called MacOS Snow Leopard?

Not that it makes any freaking difference. .. Just wonderin.

The names of the prior versions don't change, the name change is only for MacOS Sierra. Just as when Apple dropped the Mac from Mac OS X, it only affected OS X 10.8+.

No.

Technically, the ProductName for macOS is Mac OS X.
It's still identified as Mac OS X internally and in browser user agents, yes. macOS and OS X are both evolutions of Mac OS X, nothing more.
