I have a 2016 rMB and since installing macOS Sierra this has been happening shutdowns and sometimes on waking up..

Anyone else or any ideas?

Unless you want to deal with all kinds of errors:

Don't. Install. Beta. Software.

As for the distortion, probably nothing to do until Apple update the beta.

Since macOS Sierra is in the Developer Preview stage and isn't slated for public beta until July you should be seeking help and reporting-bugs in the developer portal.

If you're not a developer, your best bet will likely be to downgrade back to El Capitan until the public betas start.

(and if you pulled the install off some random torrent site, I'd recommend wiping everything and restoring from the most recent quarantined backup, then changing every banking or investing password your system had access to while running the beta...)
